The standard towbars, Tow-SafeŽ hitches, roobars, nudge bars, front protection bars, bullbars and bar work are designed and manufactured in our own factory. We also carry a range of related vehicle accessories such as load equalising hitches, electric brake units, transmission coolers, cargo barriers and spotlights. All of these products can be expertly installed by our fitting bay staff or by one of our many selected distributors. The products can also be supplied direct in kit form for transport to anywhere within Australia.
STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS
Parkside Towbars has proven itself to be one of the industry’s
leaders in compliance to all relevant Australian Design Rules and Australian
Standards. All applicable towbars and Tow-Safe Hitches comply to ADR 62/00
(Mechanical connections between vehicles) and AS4177.1 (Caravan and light
trailer towing components).
Parkside Towbars also manufacture a comprehensive range of air bag compatible front protection bars, nudge bars, roobars and bullbars which comply with ADR 69/00 (Full frontal impact occupant protection). These bars have been designed, tested and manufactured to ensure that they do not interfere with the triggering of a vehicle air bag. Our dynamic impact test facility and recording system has been approved by an independent Automotive Safety Engineer who is an expert in this field. All tests are performed by our highly skilled design staff under the supervision of an independent engineer.
Where necessary, our roobars, front protection bars and bullbars include an extra set of indicator/park lights to comply with ADR 6/00 (Direction indicator lamps) and ADR 13/00 (Installation of lighting and light signalling devices).
